Buying for Family in Uganda from the UK

You live in the UK. The people you are buying for live in Uganda. This is how we make that simple.

You choose the item. We buy it from a trusted UK or EU retailer and deliver it to your family in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono or Entebbe. You pay. They receive. Nobody at the door is asked for money.

How it works when you are the buyer

  1. Send a request. Tell us the item. In the message box, add your family member's name, phone number and area in Uganda.
  2. Get a quote within 24 hours. It covers the item, shipping and import duty.
  3. Pay 70% by card. We send you a PesaPal invoice. A UK debit or credit card works.
  4. We buy and ship. From retailers like Amazon UK, John Lewis, Currys and Argos.
  5. Your item lands in Uganda. We invoice you for the remaining 30%.
  6. We deliver. Once the 30% is paid, we deliver to your family straight away.

The duty on your quote is the duty you pay

Import duty is where overseas orders go wrong. A parcel lands, the tax is higher than anyone said, and someone in Uganda is asked to pay it.

Not with us. Every quote includes an import duty estimate. If the Uganda Revenue Authority assesses more, we cover the difference. You pay the price we quoted. Your family pays nothing.

How import duty works in Uganda

Paying with a UK card

Our invoices are in Ugandan shillings. Your bank converts the amount to pounds on the day.

Your statement will show PESAPAL*KOOPSER RETAIL, with a Kampala location. That is us.

A first payment to Uganda can trigger a security check from your bank. If it does, approve it in your banking app.

Some UK cards charge a fee on payments in another currency. Check your card's terms before you pay.

What we can source

Laptops, tablets, phones, audio gear, kitchen appliances, cameras, personal care devices, baby and child products, and home office equipment. If a UK or EU store sells it, ask us.

We do not ship clothing, shoes, perfume, food, liquids or standalone batteries. See the full list.
