It started with a kettle.
In December 2023, Michael Lubandi was visiting family in Masooli-Kyambogo, Uganda. They needed an electric kettle. They bought one from a shop on Gayaza Road — well packaged, unbranded, made in China. It worked for three days. Then it stopped.
What struck Michael was not the kettle. It was the reaction of everyone around him. Nobody was surprised. Nobody thought it was worth going back to the shop. This was just how things were.

Michael knew it did not have to be that way. In the UK, even the cheapest appliance comes with a warranty, a receipt, and the expectation that it will actually work. The problem was not Uganda. The problem was access.

Koopser Retail Services was registered that same month by Michael Lubandi and Steven Sentongo to solve exactly that problem. Steven leads our local presence in Kasangati Town Centre. Michael sources from the UK. Between us, we cover both ends of every order.

We source genuine products from verified UK retailers: Amazon UK, John Lewis, Currys, and Argos. Every item is delivered to customers in Uganda at a price agreed upfront, with no surprises.
